It's been a few days since I've been able to get to TP. I kinda feel like I'm going through withdraw...LOL Anyhow, quick update with me on a couple of things.
First my issues with the puppymiller I'm trying to work out with my local DA office since they are the ones that had prosecuted and convicted the puppymiller in the first place. He has not contacted me since that original day where he sent me 13 emails containing my information. I'm not so worried now about that anyway, since I did some internet research. He simply used one of the pay services to get information on me. From the looks of it he actually contacted a at least three or four. He was just trying to scare me from detering me from turning him in to the authorities. Nice try, but no dice.
Has for the meeting I had with the breeder this weekend, it didn't work out as to plan. First on Saturday I had a work meeting that was scheduled for three hours and ended up lasting for nearly six hours! So it through off my whole day. By the time I arrived at the speciality show they were having a buffet. All the dogs had been put away and I felt silly asking everyone for the breeder by name so I left. That was Saturday. On Sunday I got a late start and still managed to arrive when the show had ended. I went from person to person asking for my breeder. Turned out I missed her by 15-30mins : ( However I did run into a lot of nice people that allowed me to spend some time with their cresties!
I am difinitely in love with this breed! I can't thank crestiemom enough because if she hadn't suggested it I would have never considered it. Little cresties have spunk to them but they can mellow out to just being a lap dog. It was amazing to see the range in sizes with all the cresties. I know the standard is very defined, but I saw some cresties that were HUGE while some were as small as a chi. I asked one owner if their crestie was a puppy, but they stated no.
Anyhow, I did run into a breeder that had a show puppy for sale. He was 11mos old and she just had two too many show dogs that she just couldn't sell at once. He was adorable, but not as outgoing as I would like. He started to shake as I held him and at first he wouldn't come to me so she had to retrieve him from his pen for me. Besides, she lived out of state so I would be unable to test the allergy factor with my boyfriend before making the purchase.
Anyhow, the breeder is suppose to attend a toy speciality show this weekend so I'm hoping to meet up with her there. She hasn't gotten back to me as far as the time at this moment so that's still up in the air.
