How do you all deal with hair? I have a shorthaired cat and i feel like everythingi own is covered. Is there any way to manage this??

Brush it with shedding tools, and perhaps better diet to promote healthy skin care.

What kind of food are you feeding?
Do you brush your cats?

At Bed Bath & Beyond they sell this rubber brush that removes hair. It works very well. You could check into that.

I have two long haired cats and one smooth coat puppy. I brush them all twice a week. Also what you feed them also effects the out come of their fur.

If they all didn't play so much I wouldn't have to vacuum as much as I do. (LOL) However I pass my vacuum once daily. That really helps also :)

What kind of food do you all suggest?

I will definatly look into that brush. I never thought of that seeing she was shorthaired.. but Im certainly going to get started

I have 2 long hairs and 1 short hair. The short hair sheds more than the other 2. It can be frustrating, but just keep up with it, and it gets easier to deal with.

I suggest a high quality food like Chicken Soup for Pet Lovers, Innova, Solid Gold... brands like these will improve skin and coat condition. Look for a food with omega 3.

Hello:)

Both my cats eat "Pro Plan" and my Puppy woofs down Royal Canin mini pup food. I buy their dry food at the pet store.

However I also feed them human food. For example the cats will also be given steak, beef and pork. I even add some mashed baby carrots with it. Only small treat size portions.

I also give my pup mashed baby carrots with rice and cooked ground beef. Only 4x a week. :)

The # 1 reason I decided to show and breed Dobermans was the hair issue, I really wanted to do GSD, but couldn't do the hair thing, and just as well, I fell in LOVE with the Doberman!
As advice, I guess invest in a quality vacuum

i know how you feel i have 5 cats brushing is the key and i actually bath my cats onced a week
