Yes I am from Colorado and I was just wondering if there are any owners who would give and free yorkshire terrier to me. This would be more as a companion kind of thing for younger kids who I babysit a lot. Thanks if you could reply or email me!
"This would be more as a companion kind of thing for younger kids who I babysit a lot"
Yorkshire terriers are too delicate to be thrown around by younger kids. What happens when you stop baby sitting these kids that you "babysit a lot". Will you get bored of him/her? Will she/he end up in a shelter? Buy the dog for you, nobody else. That's the complete wrong reason to buy a dog. Nobody "gives" away dogs, especially yorkie pups.

I mean this with no disrespect... Are you KIDDING me!
If you want a companion for those children. Then I suggest invite a friend over! Or get together with another babysitter with her group of kids.
A dog is not a means to and end! Those dogs are fragile and are to be handled with great care. Infact that applies to all dogs! If you want a free dog then how on earth will you be able to feed it. Plus take care of all it's standard vet appoinments?
Yorkluva do you have a yorkie yourself? I am sorry but I can not imagine anyone asking for a FREE dog to kinda be a companion kind of thing for some kids they babysit and ask for a purebreed no less! How old are you?
I highly agree with everyone else. You're not going to find a free yorkie out there unless he's crawling with disease. Dogs are not meant to be thrown around, they need a lot of responsibility. Please don't buy any dog for this reason, if you want the kids to have fun, let them watch a dog movie or better yet, buy them some stuffed animals for them to play with.

here's an idea; Walmart sells battery operated puppies. Bought one for my girls, it barks, sits, counts, and cries, get one of those and a case of "c" batteries and let the kids have a hay-day with it, then when they're done all you have to do is turn it off and sit it in the corner lol.
yall are kind of being harsh, you all dont even know what she fully meant...but i do have to agree, yorkies are sort of too small for children to play with...and Gunny(?) asking for a dog doesnt make her a troll...
I don't think anyone was bashing, her title was Free Dog Title Explains It All- her first sentence she asked if any owner would give her a Free Yorkshire Terrier to be kinda a companion dog for kids she babysits for. If there is more to it than that she should explain so others know exactly what she means. To me if title explains it all she wants a Free Dog.
Fist, the likelihood that you find a FREE yorkshire terrier unless it has severe medical issues is slim to none. Second most breeders of them will not even SELL a yorkie to a family with small children. Yorkies are not a small children type dog, nor should puppies be used as a babysitter or entertainment for the kids you watch.
First consider all the work involved with care, training, feeding, cleaning, etc a puppy entails, then consider a larger breed or a shelter dog.
