I saw the dog on the Ashton Kutcher movie "Just Married" I would like to buy once but I don't know what breed is, somebody knows? I've tried to add a picture but I can't, so these are some link where you can find some photos of the dog:
I suggest that you do some research on the breed itself before going out and getting one based on what you saw in a movie.
I suggest you look at this website: http://www.glowdog.com/bestdog/ It has a questionnaire that asks you various questions about your lifestyle, your expectations in a dog, activity level, etc. then it takes all your answers and rates each breed of dog with a rating based on what you answered. If you are really serious about getting a dog, please take the time to research it and think about the 15 year commitment you are about to make. Way too many dogs end up in shelters because someone saw the breed in a movie and went out and bought the first one they saw without doing any kind of research on the breed itself.
Please do research on this breed prior to buying one! This is not a good breed to take on hikes or really long walks. It might not be a good breed if you have young, energetic children or dogs either.
And be sure to get one from a reputable breeder. These dogs are prone to breathing problems and a good breeder will make sure you get a healthy dog.
They are really cute though! I had really wanted one myself but feared our energetic beagle would be too much for the poor thing! Besides we like taking the dogs out for big hikes and long walks and knew this breed wouldn't be a good match to our lifestyle.
i will tell you a little about french bulldogs. i have three. i did extensive research on the breed before we bought rocky, our first frenchie. before deciding if this is the breed for you, visit some breed specific forums . ask questions.the people are very helpful and have first hand experience with the breed. they will be able to reccommend good breeders. getting a frenchie from a reputable breeder can make a world of difference when it comes to health. all three of my dogs are people , kids and animal friendly. everyone they meet , are in need kisses. they love all. they tend to be clingy. mine are my shadows wherever i go. they are extreme cuddlers.
rocky, my male can not tolerate much exercise or walking. so with him, walks are kept very short. he plays hard with the other two, but is the first to take a time out. annie and tiger lily can go non stop for long periods of time. they can be prone to allergies, so a good quality food is a must. i feed the natural balance potato and duck, as it is an allergy formula. they do great on it. they are a head breed and are not swimmers. many breeders will not even sell to people that have an unsecured pool. they are refered to in the dog world as "little clowns" and they fit the bill to a tee. they are the most loving dogs i have ever owned. here are a few pics of my kids:
yeah. i was gone for 9 days. its the longest i have ever been away from my frenchies. never again. i missed them so bad. i called home and had quinn put the phone up to their ears so i could talk to them. he said they started running through the house looking for me ! it broke my heart. they are like my children. if you ever spent time with a frenchie, you would know how attached they become. they are just total lovebugs. big big hearts in little compact hardbodies. lol
