This is the only reason why she is still around. Good thing they made puppies so cute. I know I will come around. Everyone on here is so helpfull. Thankyou thankyou thankyou to all. Please check these out and enjoy!
Also what do you all think of this idea. Since I want to have no worries about reading signs for her to go potty later. What about starting her on the bell by the door as well as one on the patio maybe. Then ringing it each time we go out to go to the bathroom. That way when she is given access to the main living room, she can let me know when she has to do some business (that is what we say instead of "go poo") or go potty.
Tell me what ya think, She already sits at doors for us prior to entering or exiting them. We have to tell her to sit, but she has started to do it on her own. That is making me happy
Prior to taking her out, I say "bathroom time" and ask her if she has to go to the bathroom. I make sure to say bathroom.
We haven't taken much walks far due to the fact that she has only had her first set of shots. She was soupose to come with 2 sets but the vet said the first set was done at to early of an age so it didn't count.
I would love to walk her to the point of exaustion. LOL
Since I do not have a backyard and only a patio (good size) I can do out there. We usually let her off leash while out there since not a huge area.
Should I keep her on leash and throw ball while holding onto leash? it that the idea of leash training while playing fetch? She chases a ball, only brought it back a few times the first day but now just pushes it around a bit then moves on to other toy.
I have limited her to 2 toys a day and then alternate them. A trainer told me to do that, good or bad idea? Will she get bored of the 2 she has? I try and give her good ones but not sure, she seems to like them all.
First day starting a feeding schedule and I think she is already getting it. She usually just picks at her food throughout the day. She picks up a piece of food and carries it to blanket then goes back again for another piece. Repeat.
The third and final eating time today she sat and ate at the bowl like her food was going to dissapear any second. She did not eat it all, but I know she is already picking up the concept that the food will not stay all day anymore.
Smart little puppy, just too smart at times. That is when I come here, get re-grounded
With my two.. they dont really tell me... I just take them out at spontaneous moments. But I always yell OUTSIDE and their ears priick up and they run to the door.
If you notice her sniffing alot (not sure this would work in your case since she's a bagle) take her outside quickly. If she starts going in the house pick her up (even if she's still going) and bring her outside.
I like your setup with the xpen.... I kept my guy baby gated in the kitchen for awhile.
With the food... leave it down for about 10-15 minutes, then take it up. She'll soon learn that if she dont eat when you want she's gonna go hugry.
