I haven't tried it yet, but maybe someone else has and can help us both out.
There is a thing I have seen called the "chill bone" You soak it in water and then freeze it. Once frozen you give it to the do to chew on, it looks like a cloth type of material. I have heard of giving them ice cubes for that but my pup doesn't seem to interested. I even have a baby ice cube tray so she could get them into her mouth, but not to small that she would choke.
There is a starter kit for puppies that has three types of bones there is the rubber bone and then they have one that is semi rubber and the last thing is a rawhide bone when the puppies teeth are almost finished coming in.
the link above is the better toy. because the things that hang out of it gies then some thign t play with there teeth. the chill bones does nto have much they can play with and its cavnes i kill canves toy yet petstages oy he still has.. i wet and put in the freeze and he loves it

If you know anyone that hunts deer, get them to give you some of their old deer antlers. My puppies love them to cut teeth on. I saw the tips off and the ends off that connected to the deers head and give them over. Dogs love to chew them and they do not shard off.
Call me old fashoned, or cheap too I guess, but like lifeofriley, I also used the frozen washcloths. I had 4-5 that were the dogs, I would wet them and freeze them, and when one thawed there were always more in the bucket. I would also tie knots so they would last longer. For outside I would frreeze one in a little water in a dish so there was an ice cube stuck one the cloth as well. Oh and I would also wet and freeze her knot-a-rope for her too.
