What is your favorite puppy food? I have mine on Nutro and I was looking at changing to Iams but noticed Iams has chicken by product. Does that matter to a dog? Iams is less expensive and my friend uses that because it is less expensive. Is less expensive o.k. or is it worth it to pay a little more.
I would stick with Neutro, it is a good brand. Are you feeding Neutro Max, or Natural Choice? I perfer Neurto Natual Choice out of the two. Iams isn't as high in quality as neutro, I wouldn't feed it, at least.
Dear Carla, I feed my dog, Tiny Red, Sensible Choice Puppy Food by Royal Canin, dry food, and Mighty Dog, wet food. Personally, I do not like Nutro or Iams. You should try Sensible Choice by Royal Canin. It has wonderful, all natural products in it. People who truly care about their dog's nutrition wont just buy the cheapest food, but the one that is the best for their dog. It is definatley worth it to pay more. Good Luck and Best Wishes, LindyLou
Hey Carla, About the kind of dog food to feed your pup...I feed mine Eukanuba puppy-small breed formula. Thats what he was on before we got him, and hes been doing great. My vet also recommended Science diet.....I dont know about it very much though. But do remember, when you change the food, make sure you mix it with his old food and wean him off it, or you will have some really bad diarrhea if you switch it suddenly. Good luck with your pup!
California Natural isthe best. The ingred8ient list reads like this: lamb, rice, sunflower seed oil. The end. Granted any preservatives or even anything but lamb and rice make my little Westie itchy or sick, but the food is still the best.
Natural Blend by Royal Canin is the best holistic food to give your puppy. My 70lb lab and 5lb yorkie both eat it. They're able to maintain their body weight, their coats are unbelievable. Just a little FYI from a pet nutritionist I know - the preservative in Iams, Science Diet and most commercial brands is a by-product of tire production. Gross!!!
