Yeah so my mil picked up an abandoned mom and three of her puppies, I knew when hubby told me about them that I needed to stay as far away from my mother in laws house as humanly possible....well it didn't last long lol. The girls and I were bored today so we headed over to say hello and see the poopies. OMG they are SOOOOO adorable lol....well all puppies are adorable but these lil guys have had it tough. Mom is so ridden with mange she doesn't have barely any hair, the puppies of course have mange as well, but not nearly as bad as mom has it. There are two boys and one girl. Mom looks like a dalmation pit mix. The puppies definatly have that pit face and are short, but talk about color differences lol. On all tan female, an all black male, and then my FAVORITE....a white male with spots that are a merel color. He reminds me of Petey from the little rascals lol. He even has that spot on his eye! They're about 7 weeks old, and had to be completly taken away from mom so they could be treated for mange. The vet says it's the easiest type of mange to get rid of, but they may still have some permanent bald spots. Every time I gave the puppy kisses hubby would scowl at me lol, he knows I'm getting attached :P So maybe, just maybe we'll have a new addition hehehe.....cross your fingers for me!!!!
Is there any way that you could put pictures of the puppies and their mom on the forum? I would love to see what they look like. Why wouldn't your husband accept the puppy? Can your mother-in-law take care of all of those puppies and the mother? Maybe you can squeeze in a few excuses and melt your husband down so that he'll accept the little boy... you never know. I have 3 black labs (female). They are all 1, they came from the same litter. They're a blast to have fun with, and they're cute too. Believe it or not, but I rescued them from some forest where they had been abandoned, they were about 2 weeks old. My boyfriend and I have been together for about 2 years now, and he sort of hesitated to bring them into the house because of my now 1 year old daughter Emma. He later accepted because the puppies were young and we could later put them in a training school so that they wouldn't hurt Emma. I don't know if you noticed or not, but Emma was only 1 week old when I found the puppies, so it's really as if I have 4 daughters, well, I do! I ended up traing them myself, it worked, and now I have 1 big happy family, with 1 more GIRL on the way still (inside my tummy)!! Well, now you could maybe tell your husband about my story and 4 troublemakers at the time, and that I don't regret 1 minute of training them and raising them because I knew it would make up for it in the future!
