It is that time to say good bye. The first two left this weekend. 3 including mine are getting ears done this morning and then the those 2 will leave next weekend. This has been a really great litter of puppies, I hate to see 'most' of them go. The boys were a little rough with my girls for the past few days, but that is to be expected I guess.
Those guys are adorable!!! Boxers right? I want to run out and get one. Actually my boyfriend wanted to get a boxer, instead we went with what I wanted and that was the "designer dog" Logan the goldendoodle. I just got him because he was adorable- nothing else. Those pups are precious though. I could never breed-because I could never let go of the puppies! lol
I am keeping the fawn with the large face blaze right in front and in the middle of the whelping box picture.
Ear cropping....what can I say...ugggggghhhh. At least I am getting the best crop possible in a 5 State area.
Here is a story from this morning. The new family of the male I took in, have another 2 year old male. Their dog has a show crop (long) but it was 'not so good' in the tip shape department.
They had me take pictures of their dog and try to have my vet 'match' the puppies ears to their dogs ears. I tried to tell them as nicely as possible that I was not crazy about their current dogs crop, and I didn't know if my vet could help them.
I showed my vet the picture this morning and he said 'I don't do bad crops, my reputation is worth more than 1 ear job'. :0
I said 'OK, I understand, thanks, do what you need to do'. I am not going to tell the new owners why he couldn't do the crop. They love their dog and I don't want to hurt feelings. I will just say that he only does them his way!
very adorable Alicat...i could just feel the velvet mushes...they are sweet as can be....yes...when pups leave its sad...but i am also happy when we make a great match up...and when the feedback comes in...and pictures...thats when you know all your hard work has paid off...
Thank you every one. I am very proud of that litter. There really isn't any that I though was too homely. The solid brindle male on the right went to a very nice pet home in NYC.
Sorry, but the girl on the right is Lexus, she had her ears done today and she is going to Utah to a show home. She is extra nice, if she wasn't brindle she would have been the one I kept, but I am getting too many brindles and they just aren't as popular with the general public.
Thanks! My husband has a nice Cannon digital camera and I was thinking about making my own Calendars for Boxer friends and stuff for X-mas.... maybe taking a couple nice pictures of their dogs for different months. They have such cute expressions.... not that I am biased or anything....bwahhhahahahaha.
That would be a wonderful idea! The picture is very clear, I like how the green grass plays off of the bright red wagon. If you ever do the Calender idea.... Don't forget to send me one! ;) Nothing wrong with Being baised!!!
Whoa they are all gorgeous!! You were very lucky to have them! It's sad to see them go, but you know they will go to good people. I am in love with the little one all the way at the front, first one the right in the first picture! What a beauty!!
Congrats! They are really really CUTE...Is it me or do they look like they don't want to leave you either??? ;) ....I'm sure you will place them where they will be fine. Is the puppy your keeping male or female? any name yet? Anyways, CUTE!!!
