If the Queen of the house gets upset about the litterbox move...she might resent the puppy. Can't risk that! I think the best solution is to send the puppy to live with me while the cat gets used to the new litterbox spot...it should only take her about a year to adjust....I promise to send pictures.
Oh, how GRACIOUS of you. I really can't impose on you like that... LOL
One of Mabel's best qualities is her litter box habits (good aim, minimal litter flinging, always using the box no matter how negligent I am, etc.). I'm more concerned about when the puppy gets here. She will be perched on the tops of the sofa, throwing daggers with her eyes, asking us, "What is that THING you brought in the house!?"
When an old roommate of mine moved in, he had a cat. Now, I missed the discussion on the cat poop thing, and maybe this was suggested, but, what I did was put the a doggy gate about four inches (or so) off the ground in front of the door (walk in closet that was in the computer room, and not used) where the box was, so the pups couldnt get in, but the cat could, and did. And loved that she had a lil space all to herself with no doggy nuisances.
