Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - A Syracuse Police Officer shot and killed three pit bulls today on Salisbury Park Drive after they tried to attack a baby being carried by a man, as well as the officer, according to a Syracuse Police Officer who responded to the scene.
The shootings happened on Salisbury Park Drive, near LeMoyne College.
According to a Syracuse Police Officer, a man was walking with a baby down Salisbury Park Drive around 2:15 PM.
Two of the dogs ran out of a nearby house, and tried to attack the baby. The man tried to protect the baby, and was injured.
As the attack was happening, a Syracuse Police Officer pulled up, and got out of his car to help the man.
One of the dogs started attacking the officer, and a third pit bull ran out at the same time.
The Syracuse Police Officer shot and killed all three dogs.
Thats crazy! Those dogs should have been shot a LONG time ago, before any incident ever happened. Wonder what is wrong with people these days, they have aggressive dogs they don't PTS and then they let them escape all the time.
Come to find out, the officer shot a 4th PB that died last night and there were 2 others also in the house. The owner was arraigned on several charges and his girlfriend was also given an appearance ticket. It is just so sad that the poor dogs are the ones to suffer because of this idiot.
