i have a friend that is a teenager and she still live with her parents. they have an australian terrier that was in heat. anout 5 minutes after they left a australian cattle dog jumped there fence (this would be the 3rd time) and got to there dog. she told me and was like "my parents dont know. how cool. i cant wait for her to have the puppies" and i was like. "what are you going to do with them?" and she said "ill sell them. what do you think". i told her she should take them to the shelter i work at and she said "no i want some money!" i was just wondering if that is dangerous for a dog that size to give birth with puppies crossed with a dog that is about 3 times her size. please right back.
P.S her dog may not be pregnant. i hope is isn't. they're not very responsible people.
You're right, they don't sound responsible if they left a dog that was in heat in the back yard.
Tell your friend that her dog could die from trying to pass puppies from such a large sire through her birth canal, and that they better have a LOT (to the tune of $1000+) set aside in case the dog needs a c-section.
First off, your friend is an idiot. You don't make money off of puppies. Big no no! Tell your friend that if she had any brain cells whatsoever she would get her dog (and herself for that matter) fixed before she contributes to the already bad overpopulation problem.
it could hurt the dog but on a quick side note (sorry i dont remember the breeds this was a few years ago) my aunt had a toy fox or around that size (a little bigger than a NYC rat!) and she gave birth to 3 saint b. pups within 2 weeks the pups were as big as her but to the grace of god she made it threw 100% fine!
