msg #45 IP: Logged 12:28:52 AM 10/3/2005 This actually pisses me off! How can you guys be so rude! What would you say to me?? I have had MANY animals that I have rehomed. Let's see where should I start???
Shanaa - A cat that was terrified of my daughter and any loud noises - Rehomed Magic - A cat WE raised who turned out not liking kids either - Rehomed Belle - A stray cat that we found in the middle of the street, didn't like men - Rehomed Chloe - Puppy adopted from the shelter, genetic defect in her throat - Put to Sleep Chuka - Sister to Chloe also adopted, hit by car at 9 months old - Died on the way to vet Teyah - A Samoyed adopted from the Shelter, didn't like Chuka(same sex aggression) - Rehomed Naku - Spitz bought from a byb, dog was bought to be rescued from bad place - Rehomed Sulah - Pomeranian bought with Naku, same thing except she didn't like kids or loud noises - Rehomed Kenai - Pomeranian bought from breeder, suffered from severe seperation anxiety as well as was afraid he was going to get hurt by our larger dogs - Rehomed Cheyanne - Pomeranian bought from breeder, never bonded with her as well as afraid she would get hurt from larger dogs - Rehomed Mercedes - Cat adopted from shelter, dissapeared after sneaking out of the house - Missing Kaia - Golden/Chow mix adopted from shelter, suffered from sever luxating patellas as well as rare genetic defect - Put to Sleep
I am sure there are more, it is just late and I cannot think, plus there was a ton of foster animals in there as well. Just because someone rehomes a dog does not mean they do not care about them or any other animal. ALSO, some people want dog asthetically pleasing. I do. When I was looking for my chow puppy, I was looking for something in particular. How rude of you to make fun of someone just because they would like a nice looking dog??? I personally like pugs, pekes, etc. But I like their personality NOT their looks. I would never own one(no offense) I want something fluffy! I like fur! I also have a preference on what I want that fur to look like! I would never get rid of a dog because it didn't turn out the way that I was hoping it would look. But I do look for dogs with a certain "look" I like Goldens and Chows. I also like Pomeranians. Funny thing though, I do not prefer the black chows or pommies. Just don't care much for them.....they are the same dogs just different colors. I must be a bad person. I really like this site but sometimes people just go too far in being rude. Did anyone's mother here ever say to them that if you can't say anything nice, you shouldn't say anything at all???
Oh, yeah, I should mention, The list I wrote above for my animals has been within the last 5 years. Now you will really hate me........oh well! You can't know why someone does what they do unless you are in their shoes.

Shanaa - A cat that was terrified of my daughter and any loud noises - Rehomed (This cat was brought up from my ex step fathers house and was pretty wild. All she did was hide and run. She was very stressed all the time. I had a VERY young child at the time. I found her a home where there was no kids and she was an only cat)
Magic - A cat WE raised who turned out not liking kids either - Rehomed (Exact same thing, except Magic was a kitten from Tiocy. We had her since she was born, but she was very skiddish. She would get nervous and try to slap at my daughter.....WHO BTW was still just a baby)
Belle - A stray cat that we found in the middle of the street, didn't like men - Rehomed (Technically a foster, we had her for about a month I think. We found her a home of a single, divorced woman and her daughter.)
Chloe - Puppy adopted from the shelter, genetic defect in her throat - Put to Sleep
Chuka - Sister to Chloe also adopted, hit by car at 9 months old - Died on the way to vet (Climbed over 6 ft. kennel. and ran)
Teyah - A Samoyed adopted from the Shelter, didn't like Chuka(same sex aggression) - Rehomed (I lived in a small house, adopted Teyah because she was going to be PTS and it didn't work out. Chuka hated her. We had Teyah for 3 months, helped her lose over 20 pounds, and found her a home as an only dog and a jogging companion)
Naku - Spitz bought from a byb, dog was bought to be rescued from bad place - Rehomed (Naku, was bought as a rescue. He was rehomed to a great woman who hated men and just wanted a dog to dote all of her attention on. Naku now even has his own pool)
Sulah - Pomeranian bought with Naku, same thing except she didn't like kids or loud noises - Rehomed (Sulah is with a friend of mine, she doesn't have little kids. Sulah was scared of my kids playing and would snap at them and also do submissive urinating. She has become queen of her castle and is now very spoiled. She is the love of her owners life)
Kenai - Pomeranian bought from breeder, suffered from severe seperation anxiety as well as was afraid he was going to get hurt by our larger dogs - Rehomed (This was probably the hardest one for me. I LOVED Kenai to death. However, his seperation anxiety was horendous. If you even stopped at a stoplight, he would start freaking out. It was becoming to where he was getting almost hated by my husband as bad as that sounds. Also, Kenai was hurt twice by Koda and Kaia....Kenai now lives on a very large open farm, odly enough with a dog named Koda. He gets to sleep with his new owner who does nothing but dote on him and give him the attention he needs. She is homeschooled so he is with her ALL day. As hard as it was for me, I KNOW he is happier.)
Cheyanne - Pomeranian bought from breeder, never bonded with her as well as afraid she would get hurt from larger dogs - Rehomed (This one I have explained so many times it is pathetic. I STILL have no bond to her, why? I do not know. I really do not like her at all that much.(no offense Michele) BUT where she is now, she is LOVED and she gets TOTAL attention from everyone in the house, the only other animal there is a cat who is outdoor mostly. They also have one daughter who is 5 and they cannot have any more kids so Chey is like the 2nd kid that they couldn't have.)
Mercedes - Cat adopted from shelter, dissapeared after sneaking out of the house - Missing (This cat was HELL to live with, but she was rescued because she was going to be PTS. We posted signs up for over a month looking for her but never found her. She was always trying to dart out around you.)
Kaia - Golden/Chow mix adopted from shelter, suffered from sever luxating patellas as well as rare genetic defect - Put to Sleep
Is there anything else you would like me to explain? Kenai is about the only one that ANYONE could argue with me on and unless you lived with him you would NOT understand.
AND also take note.....EVERY SINGLE ONE of these animals are STILL in their homes, and EVERYONE knows that I will take them back if they cannot keep them. There is NO REASON why I would not take them back. I may rehome them again but I will NOT let them go to shelters again or at all.
Katz, you can't tell me that dog didn't like to be inside. The whole allergy thing was a big joke. I found it completely ironic that the pictures of him in his new home he was INSIDE. You just didn't want to take the time to train the dog. You had a cute new puppy, forget poor old Koda. GRRRR
That pisses me off.

dusty this is a public PET forum. If you openly announce that you rehomed 12 pets (not fosters) in less than 5 yrs what response did you expect? I don't hate Katz and the only thing I don't like is constant rehoming. She plans on rehoming an old, sickly, dog aggressive, destructive dog. She plans on making him someone else's problem. BTW I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO COMMENTED ABOUT HER REHOMING ISSUES. SCOUT, MERICO, ACEYFACEY, THLYNDA DID AS WELL. I CAN'T SAY I BLAME THEM EITHER.

Katz this is just crazy, you are always talking about these issues. No matter what anyone suggest it is impossible. Weeks ago I suggested you get goldfish, again I am suggesting that.

Of course I think it was Scary who suggested she take up pet rocks as a hobby so maybe she will take that advice.

Now, now...be nice, or Katz will threaten to have her name removed from this forum, and she will never post here again. Until 2 weeks from now, when she will pop up again, probably with one or two less cats. But that's ok-she'll adopt another one that will be soooo cute. Until it pees on the rug or scratches her or needs surgery. Then she'll just get mad at us again because we will say, "I told you so".
and catlover we would miss her! The thing is, the missing won't be for long. She first has to come up with a problem that is unsolvable, then present it to us, then defend her reasoning, then explain why it was never our business anyway, and then go on with her original rehoming plan. Whew I'm tired now!
You know I have come to the conclusion that we are her conscience, or more like it the voices in her head.
Too bad she never listens to the voices in her head! But that's always the case. You know how hoarders never think they are doing anything wrong? Well, she reminds me of a hoarder. She thinks she is doing the animals a big favor. Just because she takes them in, takes care of them for awhile, and then dumps them when the next one comes along. But, oh-I forgot...it's always to a "better" home. So I guess that makes it ok.
think about it....she is constantly "collecting". Then when it gets old, some kind of something comes up and then next cutie pie comes along, then....away we go. She has admitted to this problem in the past.
Had hope she was a decent person for doing so, then got annoyed when we tried to help her and she denied that she was making poor decisions.
If you don't want to know, why tell us. Plain and simple.
Come to find out "Knowing nothing, is better then knowing it all..." -The Used Ah...to be naive again *sigh*
The sad part is you have to wonder what her kids are thinking, watching all these animals come and go left and right. I couldn't imagine losing best friends over and over. Unless they just think its normal, which would be scary.
HOLY CRAP! How can you rehome that many babies. I would kill myself rehoming that many animals, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. How can you rest peacefully knowing you bring animal after animal in, just rehoming and replacing. If you keep giving them away, stop bringing them in. Your not helping them :(. I can't imagine rehoming randomly that many times, twice would be a stoop but jeez, like 20 times! :(
