hI everyone i am concerned about Simone breath. it really smells bad like poop. i am in need of a remedy. i brush her teath, gums and tongue everyday plus she has mouth wash for puppies. right now she is on a prescription diet by Hills RD, could this be the problem.
I have never herd of bad breath from losing teeth. always good to learn something new.
Anyway sometimes rocky has bad breath, we brush and all that good stuff but sometimes it just does no work so we give him these doggy bones breath ment things. His breath smells nice after and he loves them. Its one of the only dog treats he likes. You may want to try them.
Bad breath can result from poor quality food. Or he could be eating feces. Do you have a cat? Do you watch the pup when it is outside? It could be litter box diving or cleaning up after itself in the yard.
~Aboldin~ Sorry for taking so long to respond to your thread! I have a JRT puppy who's in the process of loosing those puppy teeth. I did find that his breath was more doggy smelling at times. Some where I read this article... I'll try and locate it for you. :)

As we as people begin to mature, we begin to lose our "baby" teeth and replace them with the teeth that we will have for life, if we take care of them, and we usually go through a teething process where we don't feel all that well.
Puppies go through the same kind of process where they start to shed their "baby" teeth too. It's at this time that you will notice any bad breath from your puppy, if you are going to notice it,
The way it comes about is that the puppy will start shedding its teeth, somtimes with a temperature, and often drool as a result. It is this drooling that will be the cause of your puppies temporary bad breath.
