I said I was going to take the dogs to the beach today... well I did, but 2 HUGE barge's were going by which made some huge waves... I was afraid Jazzy would be washed away so we did the trails instead lol. I did get a couple beach pics before the barge's came though!!
I LOVE the picture "GO JAZ!" That is awesome.......She must have seen a frog and was going for it there!
Ashley~You look really nice today too! That is a GREAT picture of the 3 of you...Yet another yo should frame and put in your house! There are so many great ones.
It is such a beautiful thing to see Riley Up-and-At-'Em again.....Like his normal self again. He sure is a beautiful, beautiful Springer, represents his breed so well....He sure is a Sporty boy! A real swimmer.
Mia thank you. We were out and about at all kinds of festivals and farmers markets today so I figured I'd dress nice.
It's funny you say he represents the breed so well (which I and his breeder both agree) but I've had people tell me he's a reject LOL. This one springer breeder, she shows them, they are ugly if you ask me...not what springers should be... but anyway, she has a page about what the breed standard should be and what do you know! It's not even AKC standard, its like her own standard, and she says they should be alot smaller than AKC says. I'm not really a big fan of alot of show bred springers and their breeders, really get on my nerves. They are breeding springers so small they might as well be cockers!
Oh fun! I love to go to Farmer's Markets...There is one in town here and it is just such a nice way to spend a Saturday.
HOW can anyone say he is a reject??? How? He is so beautiful, great build, and beautiful markings. I can tellhe has Personality PLUS as well, without even meeting him! Just from all you say about him and the pics and Videos I see. Overall great disposition.
That is quite funny how she made her "own" standard...Wow! Maybe because HER dogs were not in AKC Standard to start with....So she made her high-n-mighty own breed Standard to look like she knew what she was doing to begin with?
I think I might have something there! Sounds like it could be true... LOL
Yeah she calls for females to be 35lbs (AKC say 40, UKC says 50) and males to be 40lbs (AKC says 50, UKC says 50). She also breeds them so that they are so calm they couldn't work in the field if you wanted them to. Springers are meant to be a versatle breed... able to work in the field and come home to be a family pet and couch potato. Not one or the other. So field breeders are breeding them too hyper and show breeders are breeding them too calm. I don't like it.
Riley and Jasmine have a little bit of both in them. The two of them are crazy outside.. love to run around and flush the birds, but inside they are couch potatoes. REAL springer personalities.
The farmers market is great. Jasmine eats all the fruits and veggies that fall on the ground. We also took her to an Apple Festival, that was fun! Got homemade apple pie, apple cider, and apple sauce! Yum!

Beautiful pictures as usual, they look like they're having a blast! You take them to such fun places, I'm sure they conk out for a long nap at the end of the day.
When I was coming back from WI, and I was in Laguardia airport, a lady was going home with her 4 month old springer who looked just like Jazzy. I've never met a springer before, so I was really excited. She was a hyper puppy, but all puppies are, very friendly and just like Jazzy. Although she had a lot of ticking on her legs, but my mom wants to own one later on in her life when we have the land for one.
