Well my favorite breeder, the one i have been back to twice for addtions to my breeding program has offered me an outstanding black male to try as a show prospect.
He is a solid black male pomeranian. Still very young but already looking promising. I ofcourse am a failure with names and can't think of a single one on my own. My mind goes blank for male names when i have a male and blank for female names when i have a female. Please help :)
The name must start with their kennel name "Adams" and include my kennel name "Lovebug", other then that throw whatever you can think of in there. I'm just looking for something cool!
I don't think that there are any real "rules" in naming dogs. The lady I got my female from said it was okay to name her whatever I wanted... but I chose to go with (her name)'s Maple Sugar just because I'm used to doing it that way. She did breed the dog. I just bought her.
The contract for the male I'm getting in a couple weeks actually states that her kennel name be included in the dog's name.
I usually just use a name out of each of the parents name. One of my huskies is named Kiowa's Mystic Montana Snow...call name Montana. His momma's name is Mystic and his daddy's name was Kiowa and I wanted to name him Montana and he is white like snow so I mixed their names together.
All good ones for the list. Hailey you are always extra helpful with this type of thing! Thank you everyone that posted. I have not choosen yet, still adding tot he list since i have alot of time to decide. Pictures coming soon!!
Oh and to add to the dicussion about kennel nnames. With this breeder i am under contract to include their kennel name at the begining fo the dog's registered name. I also have it in my own contract that my kennel name be included at the begining of all puppies registered names. Seems the norm within my breed, at least when selling breeding/showing pups, not always on pet puppies.
This is a picture i have of the whole litter. My boy is the black one on the right. At least that is him if that is the one that turns out the best, obviously they are still young, the breeder is pretty sure that will be the better one of the two blk boys. Their silver/blue sister in the middle is amasing though. The breeder was so shocked to have that color pop up. He haven't been able to trace it in the pedigrees either.
