That's a sad story for everyone involved. But I wonder how long it would take for a Dauchsund to dig a hole that big and deep? Probably quite a while. I would think that its' owner would notice something like that and take care of it right away. Especially knowing what kind of dogs you have in your yard. IMO they are the ones at fault for what happened.
Hey, I lived in Phoenix for 20 Yrs. Neighbors fight all the time over property lines and walls/fences. That's why I moved to Wittmann, AZ. To live on 1 1/2 acres and to have neighbors as far away as possible.
Good luck getting your neighbor to go halves for the wall. But you should really put up a more secure wall/fence to protect your dogs and to secure your yard. Most dogs will protect their territory against other dogs and intruders. Unfortunately they can't differentiate an intruder or a small child playing hide and seek in your yard.
I would LOVE to move outside of Phoenix! You know how bad traffic is here. On my shift it really wouldn't matter if I had to commute. But, my hubby would be driving when everyone else is. We were looking at Cave Creek or New River. For me that is only a 45 minute commute. My hubby would be driving for over 2 hours. I am sure my dogs would love it. I want a horse before I'm to old to do more than pet it!
Go west to Surprise. Or better yet Wittmann. It's affordable and well worth the commute. Our shop is 35th Ave and Thomas and it takes about an hour each way. But once home it's nothing but quiet and wide open skies and beautiful sunsets.
I believe that we passed through there on the way back from Prescott a couple of weeks ago. If that was it it would be wonderful. Very open, and horses everywhere. Are you coming in and going at rush hour?
It was wittmann that we drove through. I was just looking at realtor.com and the prices are great. We will have to seriously consider it. It certainly gives us more incentive to complete the repairs on our house and get rid of this situation.
