Hi Kit. I own and raise AKC Boston Terriers and they are great. I highly recommend them. They shed very little, don't have as much breathing problems as Frenchies, and they are great with kids-plus they have a beautiful alert expression. They are born with a short tail (no cropping required) and their ears stand on their own at about 3-4 months of age. They love riding in the car and make great family pets. Ours sleep in the bed, ride in the boat and are just all around great dogs. They are very smart, medium energetic and do well in houses with yards, or apartments. You can see some of our dogs here http://public.fotki.com/Cecillia/our_bostons/ I rarely have time to get on here, but everyone once in awhile I browse the topics and when I saw your question about Bostons, I just couldn't resist. Both breeds are good dogs, but you would never be sorry is you buy a Boston. CeCe
i have french bulldogs. three of them. i myself, will not ever have another breed. i also like bostons, but to me they are more hyper. i like the more compact, muscled bodies of the frenchies. they are also born with "piggy" tails and their ears stand by themselves. my male tends to tire more easily than my females, but none of them have breathing problems. and all of them are very playful. as far as being more pricy , that depends. i have seen bostons selling at a higher price than frenchies.
