I'll add a personal experiance to help lighten your mood.My cousins wife has MS and they induced her a month early because of lots of complications with her blood presure MS meds and such...Baby came absolutly perfect and healthy! From the stress and agony Mom was feeling you would have expected the worst but Naw, Baby was a bundle of JOY! Your going to be agreat G-ma!
Oh dear, i hope everything goes smoothly with delivery and that you end up with a beautiful grandson that is at least treatable if not perfectly healthy at birth! The poms and i loooove to watch babies born on TV and we are all wishing the very very best for you and your family!!!
Sending good and positive thoughts to you.My daughter was born when I was 6 months along and weighed 2lb8oz.She had to stay in the hospital for 2 1/2 months which was very hard but she was perfectly healthy just too tiny.I will be thinking of you and the baby and family.
First, I'd like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers, it meant alot to have you all pulling for us. Please continue to pray and hope for us as we are not out of the woods yet.
She was induced Thursday morning at 9:30 am....as of Friday at 11 am, she had not progressed and was not dilating. She had a extrememly hard time getting her contractions regulated right, so they gave her an epidural......she is in LOVE with those now!, lol.
The doc broke her water for her around 2pm, and at 3:48, we were blessed with a beautiful baby boy!
Though she was 36 weeks pregnant, the doctor says the baby is at about the 34 week mark. At the time he was 5 hours old, his lungs were doing good for his age. He is still being monitored and cannot leave the nursery or be held yet :(
4 lbs, 12 ounces ... 18 1/2 inches long. Tiny little legs and arms, since he didnt have any body fat on him yet, he is very skrawny, but will hopefully start chunking up soon.
I have some pics I took through the window of the nursey...will post them when I get them on photobucket.
Aagain, thankyou everyone, will keep you posted on how he does.
wonderful news ! i am glad that things went good. cant wait to see pics. our grandsons are only a couple of weeks apart . its wonderful having a baby in the house again. hopefully you have tme to get on msn later on , if not CALL ME !!!! give sarah and the baby big hugs too ! ((((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))
Baby Joseph has been transferred to the Childrens Hospital PICU.
Respiratory wise he has been doing well so far. He has been having a tough time trying to nurse, so they have been feeding via tube in his nose. He has not been able to hold down any feedings, throws everything up. They sent him to be tested for a blockage.....stenosis or fistula likely. Please continue to put Joseph in your thoughts and prayers!!!!
