Scout1-Thank you. Yes,that's him...the ex hubby, lol! He's been absolutely wonderful with Nicholai and has been here to care for me and the kids while I was on bed rest too. He was in the OR with me as well, took a week off of work(they'd freak if he took any longer...they couldn't do without him,lol!...his cell was ringing while we were waiting on them to take us to the OR...some people!),he can't wait to get him in his arms when he gets off work...it's too cute.
All in all,he's doing pretty good with us. Gotta give him props for even caring under the circumstances.
C-section babies are always so pretty lol they don't get the squished up, stretched headed baby uglies that other babies have to wait a few days to grow out of ;) -------------------------------------------------- lol pope, what a way with words! But I know what you mean, my grandbaby had the cone head for a couple days too, hehe.
Congrats Linda....beautiful baby!! We wanna watch him grow, so keep the pics coming.
Hey lpn, how's the grandbaby? I believe it was you that posted about problems..? I wanted to bring up that the baby may very well have acid reflux, maybe they should try the upper GI testing or the 24 hour testing to see. The latter is what they ended up doing with my five year old because they couldn't tell from the other x-rays/upper GI. What ever they find,I hope it's simple and easily fixed with short term meds(like reglan, etc),as was my daughter's case in that area anyway. I also want to tell you, that my daughter fought for her life at that time(she was three weeks old),she was septic, with absolutely no answers as to what caused it. She spent 6 days in PICU intibated and another 6 days right down the hall, just in case. She passed away on us twice, and was revived, thankfully! Before we left Womens and Childrens hospital in AL,she had contracted RSV,bronchitis, and pneumonia from the nurses/assistants not listening to me and the PICU Dr. They wouldn't use precautions(scrub down before entering her room, gown, gloves, hair covers, shoe covers, etc). I threw a fit at the Dr. in charge on the floor, and had signs posted, etc, even though it was well understood that she was very sick and precautions had to be enforced.
Anyway, just wanted to share the reasons I understand your conerns. And,wanted to bring up something simple that they may have missed.
