This was very interesting reading, I did not know about tails being glued after docking. I agree with whoever it was that said (sorry I can never remember names) that docking and cropping make a dog look more regal, I do prefer that a vet do this and I think that a law should be in place to only allow vets to dock tails because I have heard more than my fair share of horror stories of byb doing this and not having a clue about it and causing more harm than good and dogs even dying through the ignorance of some fools that have no idea as to what they are doing.
I am surprised that AVMA is against tail docking. I have found this paragraph online:-
The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) has recently made a statement with regards to cosmetic tail docking in the dog. Essentially, and ultimately the AVMA would like to see this type of cosmetic procedure discontinued for cosmetic purposes only.
