I have three dogs. Two Chihuahuas and one Puggle. The chihuahuas are 4 and 5 pounds and the Puggle is 20. I feed them Eukanuba and give them the amounts they are supposed to receive according to their weights, but they are always hungry. I feed them twice a day. When they eat I always watch to make sure that they each eat their own and they do, but they eat like they have never eaten before. They are always looking for food and when my kids are eating the Puggle will take food right out of their hands. Yesterday I tried to overfeed them to see how they would act and they still acted like they were starving. What is up with them????
have you checked for worms ? tapeworms rob their system of nutrients and make them feel hungry all the time. i would also take them off that crappy food. eukanuba is junk and contains fillers. you will find better quality food at feed stores. my frenchies are food pigs, but even they have a limit. i fill their bowls in the morning and there is always food left over the next morning. i use to have set feeding times, but they did the same thing that yours are doing. so i started keeping food down all the time and now they only eat when they are hungry and not big amounts at one time. if they do not have worms, try free feeding and see if they dont calm down with the eating. could be they are worried about the other ones getting more , so they try to get it all. once they see that there is always food available, they should calm down on the pigginess.
Do they check for tapeworms annualy? Because I always bring their stool to be checked at their yearly check-ups. They have been behving like this though since I have had them. I am surprised by the comment on the food. I always thought Eukanuba was good. What is a good dog food?

and they can get worms at any time. because they dont have them at an annual checkup, doesnt mean they cant get them shortly after. just check their stools. tapeworms shrivel to look like pieces of rice in their stools. they are caused from the dog or cat ingesting a flea.
