if she equates the word come with bad htings, theres part of hte problem. pick a new word and start from scratch. like "here" or somethign.

Yup, that's what we're doing. Today I couldn't get her to come so finally went upstairs and gently led her downstairs (with her resisting a little, trembling all the way) and then gave her a treat, some brushing, scratching, rubbing her ears. She seemed to enjoy the treat (a bite of fresh cat food LOL) and the attention but when I was done, she got up and went back upstairs. I repeated this 3x this morning. Hopefully it will work eventually...
