I have heard that the greenies aren't safe and cause obstructions. Also, some raw hides aren't safe. Has any one heard about Nylabone's edibles? I have them, but haven't given them to my dogs yet. Are they as safe as the package says? What about regular nylabones?
Really, anything unwatched could cause an obstruction. I used to give edible nylabones, but it got to the point where they lasted 5 minutes and were eaten, so I don't anymore. The non edibles depend upon your dog. Cider has a 3 pack as a pup. Ate the edible, chewed on the brown plastic one till I had to throw it out and wouldn't touch the remaining white plastic one. Doesn't seem to be a big fan of plastic or rubber unless you are playing too, but that's just my dog.
i was also told about the greenies at a petshop i stoped at to get my dogs a few treats and the lady working there told me how bad they were and they were all pulled from all the shelves every where. but i was also wondering about raw hides and other chewable treats? i look on the package to see if they are digestable does tihs really mean anything? i do watch my pups with their treats and they really havnet eaten a hole pig ear or raw hide they do chew on them for awhile but move on - but will come back later so they dont constantly chew on them.
