OMG! that is so awful! I wish I could say I'm surprised about this I have heard so much about this sort of thing around the country! In ohio a few years ago the Humane society had a few black guys arrested for pouring boiling oil on a 6 month old puppy and they had previously set fire to a litter of puppies I had heard(I think it was HS or ASPCA) and they couldn;t understand why they were being arrested! unbelieveable! I have seen several things in California and heard about things in other states too! I don't think that poor pup should have been left outside unattended(too many vicious dog allegations happen and make pits vulnerable to prosecution on false testimony. I do hope that they will find the sicko who did that, but realistically i know they won't unless someone comes forward
people are sick. we had a similar incident here. some teenagers took a husky, tied her to a tree and shot her repeatedly with bow and arrows. they even stopped to retrieve the arrows to use them on her over and over. they basically got a hand slap. sad. and so are these:
I think a big problem is the court system, if they would apply the harsher penalty then I don't think as many animals would be injured. But they get a slap on the hand and probably go back out and do it again. If these people think for one second that animals don't have feelings their wrong. I cannot believe the courts do not inforce the harsher penalties.
Plus I think this is how killers start out, I remember years ago reading an article that kids or young adults who torcher animals grow up to be abusers and killers. Not sure if that is still true. Anyway I'm so sad for these families and the poor animals that had to suffer for someones elses disgusting pleasure and I hope they catch the SOB's and I hope they get a judge who has a heart and inforces the harshest penalty available.
