i just read this on line- some one else posted something a month or so back how to figure out the weight of your dog when grown but it wasnt double the weight at 14 weeks old- any one know if this is the correct way to roughly estimate how much your pup will weigh when grown?
it doesnt seem right to me- daisy weighed 2.1 pounds at 12 weeks- 14 weeks she roughly weighed 3.6 pounds i think now daisy is 4 months old and almost weighs 6 pounds- so i dont think this formula works. does it differ from differnt breeds? im thinking daisy is going to weigh about 10 pounds would i be correct in thinking that/ shes 1/2 maltese and 1/2 bichon frise? just wondering also how old are they when they stop growing and that will be the weight they will be? bentley is 1 year old and is just under 7 pounds hes pretty small framed so im thinking this is about as big as hes going to get - maybe fill out alittle bit but thinking hes going to stay alittle guy? daisy is bigger then he is she also has tons of hair which makes her look bigger and we had bentleys hair cut short so he looks alot smaller- lol

I've heard for yorkies, maltese, and chihuahuas to double the weight at 12 weeks and add half a pound and that should be about what they will weigh full grown. For a bichon I'm not sure how that works because they are larger full grown.
Im not totaly sure but I think small breed dogs stop growing around 6 months old. Im gonna guess she will be around 10lbs. My friend has bichons and shih tzus and they are usualy between 10 and 15 lbs. Her step mom breeds them and they are almost always that size too.
As your dog is a mixed breed, there's honestly no telling how much she will weigh at full size. She may be very close to Bichon weight as an adult, and they're sturdy little dogs. And small dogs are vastly different than large dogs when it comes to adult weight. I thnk Riddick weighed 28 lbs at that age, and now he weighs ... 75? Large dogs generally get their adult height by the age 12 months, but can take an additional year or two to 'fill out' to adult muscle mass.
so far so good . weve gotton the coccida under control and her stool sample tested neg.. wow it took over 5 weeks to get it to go away- shes doing very well now - so nice not having a sick pup with diarhea. shes had diarhea since i had her so it was non stop cleaning up after her- and now its been pretty wonderful not having to clean up so many messes a day.. now were just working on house training her . but it seems to be taking alittle longer for her to catch on but agian she was so sick for the first month we had her that i did let her slack on house training so now im paying for that..lol ' thanks for asking . shes also gained tons of weight compaired to the sick 2.1 pounds she was at 12-13 weeks old when i got her and now shes 4 months and weighs close to 6 pounds... shes a chunky little thing-
I have two Maltese mixes. I just checked their vaccination records. Maggie the Maltese x Yorkie weighed 5.3 lbs at 4 months and topped out at 10 lbs (she's almost 2 now). Katie the Maltese x Poodle weighed 9.5 lbs at 4 months and now weighs 20 lbs (she's just a little over a year old now). So for my girls it appears to be almost double what they weighed at 4 months.
