Hello, I'm suppose to purchase this female yorkie pup. She is 7wks and weighs 1lb 5oz. The buyer says she has AKC papers and shot records. I'm suppose to travel 5 hours for her one way and dont want to be disappointed. She is very cute! I don't have alot of knowledge on these dogs, but she looks different then all the pictures I've seen of yorkie pups. I tried to attach the pictures of her but it's not letting me. To see a picture of her i can send it to your email address. Please help! Thanks,
If she doesn't look like other yorkies, she's probably mixed with another breed or really badly bred. How well do you know this breeder? Can you trust this person? You should feel very confident in the breeder before you even think of buying a puppy from him/her. It sends red flags that you think they may be trying to sell you a yorkie that is not pure.
ETA: Also, if you post your dogs picture on a site like dogster or even webshots you can link to it here and we can take a look at it.

the pups will look diffrent from the adults. when I was looking at them I was always posting on here asking how I knew witch one to get because they change so much. I was told that any white on them most likley ment they had shihtzu in them. so watch out for that.
they go through such a big change growing up its hard to tell. a lady i know has one and as a puppy it was so cute looked perfect. as she got older she stayed cute but her nose is longer then it was befor and she her hair is going into silver instead of black. Shes still very cute but she looks so diffrent.
Hold on there! She's that weight at 7 weeks and you're picking her up now? That puppy should not be techincally let go until 8 weeks of age MINIMUM! I know you probably want to pick it up soon, but the earlier you do, the greater the chances of the puppy 'crashing' from hypoglycemia on you.
open an photobucket account and let us see it! Also... you're buying the dog because you think she cute but you don't know a lot about them? That might not be a good idea.... you should learn about the breed before you buy them This is my yorkie when he was about 9 weeks old, maybe you can compare
