Sitting in her van awaiting customers Friday evening, she said, “It’s absolutely no different (than selling) cows and horses ... but the poop is smaller. When a dog poops in here, and we have to smell it, I always say, ‘That smells like money.’”
Ummm... ok. She has what, 6 different breeds? I doubt she is showing all 6 breeds. She had 26 shih tzu's at one time.. considering they are small dogs producing small litters, that had to be at least 4 separate litters at one time. Good breeders dont have more than 4 litters a YEAR.
And let's see... shes selling them in a fricken PARKING LOT. If that doesn't scream BYB or puppy mill then I don't know what does.
Doesn't mean I don't find people on tp bybs. Some of them, are not much different than the person in the article. 26 puppies on the ground ready to go at once isn't what a good breeder does. And they don't sell them in a parking lot.
Well considering a female only goes into heat every 6 months (typically) and she shouldn't be bred every heat, no, she shouldn't be having more than 1 litter a year. And IMO she shouldnt have a litter every year either.
Wow I couldn't belive what I was reading. People stopping buy in the cars shouting out "how much" Ok a drive threw dog selling business. Are you kidding me? Those poor pups whose knows what kind of conditions they are being sold into...
a few weeks ago in walmart parking lot there was this van parked twards the back of the lot and there were 2 ladies sitting in the back with the doors open and a sign saying " chihuahuas for sale" i was parked over there so i walked over to see them. ( never intending at all to buy one but just to take a look) they had 2 females left and were selling them with papers one for 1200 and one for 1500 i think it was becaues of her apracot coloring she said it was very rare- i thought to myself they are there for the money why would they sell to anyone that just came up with the money in hand? they were very cute ive never seen a baby chi before and they were so tiny the size of a mouse- very cute i didnt think it was right that they were selling these pups out of a van in a parking lot- ive never seen that before... I still wonder if they found homes for them? or they just keep moving from store to store still trying to sell them. i couldnt believe the hefty price tag- she was taking out her akc papers and telling me they and champioship lines in there family ect- if these chis were all that why couldnt she find homes for them before she had to come to walmart parking lot? imho
