I never even thought about asking you guys about this and I'm a idiot for not asking.
A month ago Wiley got sick. I have the monitor in the dog house and was up 6 times that night to let him out to expel a tar like poop. With Wiley it only lasted one day.
A few days later my son's dog (Buddy) got sick and did the same thing. He literally destroyed his 48" crate because he is kenneled with out a monitor. My son then brought him to my yard so I could watch Buddy. (my son doesn't have a fenced in yard)
I then called the vet, she asked me what they got into and I have not a clue.
With out seeing them she treated them for coccidia and called me 4 times a day to see how they where doing. (High school class mate of mine, thank Goodness)
Anyway Blaze got sick the day after Buddy. She was only sick for one day also.
It seemed like the sulfur meds that she gave them did the trick. But again it was not a long sickness.
My question for you guys is that my next door neighbor told me her dog was sick with the stools like black tar yesterday. The stools are projectile, black and like tar.
Is there a flu that dogs can get? Have any of you experienced this before or is it coccidia?
It lived so shortly in each dog that I didn't run them to the vet. I just really wonder now that Pepper(neighbor's dog) got is also.
Oh ya Pepper does climb my fence and steals the pigs ears in my yard. :)
My apologies for the long post.

Oh my laredos_mom, I'm sure glad it isn't the that flu!
I also have to add that the pig ears are not the problem. They have been chomping on them all year. I buy 400 at a time and keep them in the freezer. With Pepper she comes into my yard and was infected somehow.
i would ask the neighbor to do everything possible to keep pepper out of your yard while she's sick. coccidia can just get passed back and forth...also can come from rabbits. i'm sorry your puppies were sick :( and glad they are feeling better!
