I feed my dogs a raw foods diet and have been for about 5 months. We have fed them bones in the past, but they are small dogs and we worry about them choking or getting the bones stuck in their digestive tracks.
We've thought about dehydrating the bones, but I'm not sure if the nutritional content will stay the same.
Does anyone know if the bones will still retain the nutrition if their dehydrated?
Also, what about the magnesium content in bones? How much magnesium is in bones?
I wouldn't dehydrate the bones, it might make them brittle and splinter. I would feed beef bones from a butcher store, get some that are medium sized for your dog. I give mine raw bones all the time, no problems
