I have Poms and I feed all my dogs Chicken Soup Dog Lovers Soul. Actually, I have 5 dogs.......2 Poms, 1 Mini Schnauzer, and two mixed mutts that I rescued from some idiot. LOL. They all love Chicken Soup!
Are you looking for better nutrition, or easier intake? My Pom eats raw, but he has to have his food ground up because he has such a small little mouth. I know quite a few people with small dogs who have problems finding foods with small enough bits for their dogs to take in.
Why don't you try Royal Canine, they break down their food categories a lot and basically have a specific food for different breed and size, targeted at different dogs. I know for sure have 2 kinds for just chihuahuas, young and adult.
I feed my pug Nutro Max puppy in the purple bag, and he seems to like it. His size is close to that of a large Chi, and he does ok with the nugget size/shape.
He does seem to go to the bathroom (#2) alot, not sure if it is because of the food...? But that is the only problem, if you could call it one, that I have experienced. Also, it is always solid, and doesnt seem to hurt him, and his weight is good according to the vet....

Hi I raise Chihuahuas and Miniature Schnauzers ansd all mine are on Science Diet Small Bites Puppies they have an adult small bites too. That is the best food as far as I am concerned I love it and my pets love it too.Makes them so nice and healthy, shiny coats and no problems what so ever.
I have a very small (3 lb) yorkie mix, and she eats NurtoMax puppy food. At first I didn't think that she would be able to eat it because it was bigger and pretty crunchy. After we brought her home from the breeder, we started mixing our food with some of the food that they provided, and she prefers NurtroMax over what the breeder had been feeding her, which was Pro Kennel's Choice and their bits of food are very small. Do you not like Nutro? I know I was talking to one of the trainers where we have classes likes it for her chihuahuas.
I have a toy poodle who is about 7 lbs. It is hard for me to find foods that are easy for his little mouth to crunch without too much work... We settled on Natural Balance Potato and Duck formula. It LOOKS bigger, but they are little round, almost flat pieces so it crunches so light and effortlessly for him, that he is actually able to enjoy his food instead of watching him sort of struggle.
Watch your mouth, because your speech is slurred enough that you just might swallow your tongue
My new little one is on Eucanuba as well. I also have 3 shelties and I feed them Natural Choice which is by Nutro. I always have had good luck with them. I will put my new one on this eventually. Take Care.
