Today I went home for lunch to take him out for a bathroom break. Once I brought hime back in, he walked straighht into his cage and began to urinate ( he nevered did that). He is beginning to drive me crazy!
yea it would be a good idea if u did neuter your dog because they're less agressive and they dont urinate as much. My aunt nuetered her dog and hes more calmer and he hardly marks territory. My pit bull mix is really aggressive and marks territory everywhere and we're thinking of getting him neutered as well, but they also gain wait afterward and i dont want that but if neutering calms him more then i will. so u probably should neuter your dog.
Some dogs gain weight after altering because their owners feedthem the same amount of food both before and after the altering surgery, which is a huge mistake. It takes a lot of calories and energy for a dog to maintain its reproductive organs... once those organs are gone, the food intake should be slightly reduced in turn to maintain an even balance. It may take a bit of adjustment (some dogs need very little food intake adjustment, some need up to a cup taken away from their daily feedings). So the 'fat dogs' are a result of owner ignorance, not because neutering causes weight gain.

Rescue animals i have had or pets friends and faimly have had didn't gain any wieght. I would not say it is a problem at all if he is just a pet. And with wieght gain that will not happen if you ask your vet how much food to feed him now. Hope every thing go's good with your boy i love rotties my mom used to breed :)
