So this morning I'm walking my dogs around the block and a guy on the other side of the block has his two dogs out in their non - fenced in front yard, niether dog is on a leash and no one is outside with them. So naturally the two dogs come over to my two. Oh what a mess, their sniffing each other, my beagle is getting annoyed and starts to grump. I'm standing there waiting for the guy to come get them, granted this is not the first time this has happened. You would think he would put them on a run or fence in his damn yard. The one dog is a lopso aupsa (SP) looking thing about 9 yrs old he told me the other is a boxer pup about 12 weeks and he mentioned he was going to breed her after her next cycle...I don't know anything about breeding just what I've read on here. But aren't the dogs supposed to be at least a year old? I didn't even think they went into heat at a young age. Anyway I was annoyed that no one was outside with these dogs and that they weren't at least on a run in the yard, they were free roaming and the boxer pup didn't even have on a collar. What kind of parent is this person? UGH!
I don't know what kind of parent he is but he is a bad doggie parent. There are leash laws and law enforcement to back them up. If you believe the dogs are in danger (and they are) or if the dogs are becoming a nuisance report it to the authorities and let them issue a ticket or two. That usually induces people to keep better control of their animals.
