Stryder loves when I pick him up and just hold him and love and squeeze on him. He just turns into a big pile of puppy goop. When we're on the bed, or like on a couch or something, he usually stays on the floor... but if he does get up on the bed he curls right up to me or drapes himself over me.
Kiba hates being picked up, she doesnt like being held in your lap. But she's the biggest cuddler on the bed or couch. Just sits in your lap, lays down, then demands bully rubs. I fall asleep every nite cuddlying her (she's a nice bed heater too!!)
I'll have to say that Jonah is my biggest snuggle bug, he will come up to you when you sit down, and put his paws around your neck then proceed to lick your face. Mariya loves belly rubs ALOT!! Luna likes to sit on your lap, or cuddle up behind you near your neck on the couch, like a cat. Hailey used to love to be rocked to sleep, and so did Olympia.
My little guy Harley is a TOTAL lap baby. When I'm here at the computer he gets on the back of the recliner behind me and puts his feet on the back of MY chair and his head on my sholder until I turn around and put him in my lap. At night, he will start out at the foot of the bed or tries to take his own pillow but I usually wake up w/very little room on the queen sized bed b/c he is snuggled next to me scrooching me over. Aint love grand! = )
Ky, my golden is a big time cuddler. Just today I laid on the couch and she came up on me and snuggled between me and the couch half way laying right on top of me. She then rested her head on my shoulder and laid there until I had to get up a half-hour later. She always wants to be on you...sitting, laying and if she can't have that, she at least has to be smack right next to you for the touch. Makes it a little tough at times considering she's almost 80#'s!!

when she's in the mood, scout is a huge cuddler. i miss being able to pick her up and hold her. she will drape her body on top of you, sometimes it makes it a bit tough to breathe with 95 pounds draped over your chest lol. salty will snuggle right up against you, or use your legs as a head rest, but she is not a lap dog. thunder is affectionate, but not a cuddler at all.
Lucky people you are to have a snuggle bug LOL my cat ( a cat but still nontheless a pet) only cuddles when you are sleeping and usually thats just for food ... or right before a nip on the nose to get you going about for her food * sigh*
My Whippet is the best "hug-a-lup-a-guss", she will jump up into my arms, twist over onto her back (while still in my arms) dig her head into the side of my neck, and curl her body up into a ball. Then the best thing happens.... ... the very tip of her thin, whip like, Whippet tail starts to zoom back and forth like a car antenna in a wind storm. It is just so wonderful.
I also have other dogs that hug, but they are not as wonderful as my Whippet :)
My hubby and I had a good laugh over this one, LOL. Our Beagle Molly is a total Daddy's girl. Hubby is home with her all the time and she can not exist unless she is on him somewhere!! For instance...he has a bad snoring problem so we do not share a bed (if we did I'd never sleep a wink:), Molly is welcome on any bed in the house BUT she has to sleep with him, she has to sit in the recliner with him, on the sofa beside him, etc. She also doesn't want to go outside with anyone but him, or go in the car with anyone but him. If he has to be away from home she mopes the entire time he's gone. He jokes and says he's going to sew a fake dog tail on the seat of his jeans and when people ask what it is he's going to say " thats my Beagles tail, guess where her heads at". He's always saying "Molly is up my butt all the time" and its true ,I kind of feel sorry for him, LOL, but then again all of our dogs have always worshipped him, I tell him he must smell like roast beef:) But he adores her. Molly is glad to see me and my son when we get home from work, and she does cuddle with us, and she will go out with us to potty or in the car IF ( and I do mean IF), her Dad is not around. I have given up on having a dog that worships me **sighs**, she only wants me when she scared or doesn't feel good.
both my dogs are cuddlers- bentley way more then daisy , but bentley is just over a year and weve had him since he was 7 weeks old- and hes very spoiled but he has to be touching me at alltimes when hes napping or sleeping. he sleeps with me at night and gets so close to me so he can feel me- and during the day he always wants to cuddle and he held and sit on my lap and give me kisses and love- hes such the cuddler i have never known a dog that loves to cuddle and give love as much has he does- now daisy is 21 weeks old now and we got her when she was about 12 weeks old. she is coming around to cuddling and wanting to be held and she loves to sit with me in the recliner and puts her head on my lap, she recently just started sleeping with us ( she slept in a play pen for months- but hubby felt bad because bentley slept with us so why not her) and she loves sleeping and cuddling threw the night. she even sleeps in longer in the mornings. she cuddles with hubby at night- he loves that. bentley cuddles with mom and daisy with dad- and our cat also sleeps with us and sleeps by hubby- the cat is on one side of him and daisy on the other- they have him pinned all night..lol thank god we have a cali king bed even tho they are so close to us really they take up no room.. i wouldnt have it any other way...
My min pin Princess loves kisses and just loves sitting on me. Our Doberman Daisey loves to sleep on my head right in my hair.... My boxer Ty loves to stand and give hugs she puts her little paws on our shoulders its so sweet. And my newest boxer Appollo loves to wait until im on the couch laying down on my back then sneak up and lie on my stomach and lick my chin.. They are all so sweet!
Merphy loves to be on my lap, especially if I am in the recliner with the foot rest up...then he can spread out for a belly rub. He loves to be pet. If he's on my lap or laying in bed with me and I stop petting, he will move around and bump me to remind me that he is still awake, so I need to still pet him. If I don't start petting him again, he'll get up and go lay at my feet. He does not like to be hugged though.
Kuma leans. He shoves his head into my leg and pushes his face into me, or he leans against me with his shoulder. He also *love* walking under my legs (He's so tall he has to crouch) then trying to lift me up by stretching. I think it's how he stretches.
My Cooper Is such a cuddle bug!! He wasnt like this until he was with me when my grand father passed away and as i cried he was licking my face and would lay his head on me! Now he hates to see me leave the house he is always with me every where I go and he will lay his head on my neck as if he was hugging me. I wouldnt have made it through my gramps death If I hadnt had Cooper.
My dogs love to cuddle!! My maltese won't cuddle with anyone until the day is almost over..he's much too involved with playing during the day and he's very hyper. When evening hits..he's all for snuggling. My basset is the biggest baby ever though, she'll cuddle whenever she's given the chance.
That is why we love our Danes!!!Skye thinks she is a lap dog but she is such a lover girl.Storm total couch potato. If my wife wants to sit on the couch he just picks up his head as if to say ya right lady this is MY couch and your interupting my sleep.Skye will get under the covers in our bed and get all excieted that it is time for bed. They are both awesome cuddlers.Storm makes a funny noise when you snuggle with him,You can almost hear him say ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this is the life.
