He was camping in Katmai National Forest in Alaska, not Austrailia. And Amy was his current girlfriend, not his wife. Lastly, he did the right thing by swatting at that bear. Bears understand heirarchy, not feelings. Yes, he was quite stupid for getting that close to those grizzlies, but the one that ate him was not one of the bears that he was "friends" with and clearly demonstrated human aggression as he was stalking the recovery team that collected Tim and Amy's remains. Come to Alaska! I'd be happy to show you around...

Both terms are spelled correctly. Tho he may have used the wrong word in that sentence it is spelled correctly. I check using my spell check in my browser and double checked using Webster, also in my browser.
As for the Grizzly Man I think he over stepped a boundary of observing wild life and trying to become it IMO.
The film-maker had respect for his work but also played plenty of interviews with people who felt that what Treadwell was doing was dangerous, not only to himself but to the bears as well. Getting bears used to humans never ends well.
(Here's another version of my message for those who didn't understand the first one.)
