I got a call today from my neighbor saying that he saw Chi-Ching outside, I told him,"are you sure, I just put him outside(backyard), he hasn't even been out 5 minutes". He said, "how many cream chows are there in this neighborhood again?? *laughing*", so I went out to go look and all the gates were closed and tied(they cannot be opened without cutting the ties) and he was gone. So, I went out front and he was shaking his furry butt all ready to play!!! I told him that we were not playing right now and he needed to go inside and I opened the door and let him in. Wanting to know how he got out, I waited a while and let him back out.......this time watching every move he made. He went out and checked EVERY window, checking to see if anyone was watching I am sure...then he started walking to the kids play area...he got up on the wood and looked again towards the house, he didn't see anyone...so he went back to a part of the fence by the garage(wire fence) and one last look towards the house before I watched him take the fence in his mouth and pull it away from the garage, leaving a good sized space, I went to a window closer to the back door so I could 'catch him" before he left when I noticed he did not take off, but rather he stood on the other side of the fence(not in the backyard) took the fence in hi mouth and PUT IT BACK where it was!!!!! The little Brat!!! Then he left with his tail high in the air. I went to the front and caught him heading down the road to play with the neighbors cockapoo/springer mix, Nugget. I made him come in and I put him in his crate and went to examine the fence. Unless you watched him, you would have never been able to tell that was where he got out. I wonder how long he has done this??
I do not leave him out by himself often but he won't go poo with me there, so I have to. I rarely ever leave him out for more then half hour to an hour. Lately it has just been too cold. The little brat has pulled out all the nails holding that piece of fence in place! So, now he only goes out with me until DH gets home to fix the fence! LOL
LOL!! That was great hahaha, Misha's the same but since I got luke she lets him do all the dirty work and she'll get the prize. Like Luke will open the fridge and wait till misha brings something out... she'll save all the good stuff for herself and give him all the stuff she doesn't want and dare he try to reach in to get something himself she growls and tells him off.. Thank God for web cam otherwise I would have never understood what happend here either.
Yes, now I have to go and inspect every aspect of my fence. I figured if he got out, we would have seen the hole, I did not think that he would have pulled the fence shut though. The reason we have ties on all three gates is because he learned how to lift the latch on them, so we had to make the gates unusable just to keep him in.
harley, our gsd, is real smart. he snuck my car keys, drove to the store, bought some nice juicy steaks, cooked them to perfection, and even thought to pick out a fine wine. what more could a dog owner ask for........
