Ha, exactly rescue. Glad your on.... This whole thing is pathetic. Sure my dog would die too if i just put a few boards over its head, no protection from the wind or a source of warmth, & on a short short chain, And just randomly threw it out there. ITS THE OWNERS FAULT NOTHING ELSE. Dont go saying we're bad owners for having outside dogs just because other people dont know how to care for theirs

If you would read the post about putting a blanket on the dog you would know what we are talking about.
You have no reason to be pissed at me. Unless you are guilty of something and it hit a sore spot.
Dogs unless breed for the northern climate need shelter, even they need shelter!!. I have Huskies and all my babies are inside at least 20 hours a day.
I got my dogs to be part of my life, not to sit outside and wait for me.
Labs, pits, Danes, Dalmatians, Vizslas and so on are all short haired dogs. I really feel sorry for them to have to sit outside. If you have shelter great! rescuedogs does not!
You are new to this forum with this all I know it all attitude, you really have a major chip on your shoulder! You need to read back and understand what is really going on.
~omggg see wily its people like you that are pissing me off. Because of what you just said. "you wished people would treat their animals better"~ Yes I do want better for their animals, sorry this pissed you off!

Excuse you wiley. Do you think a lab has a long coat??? No but she loves it outside and goes swimming in about 20 degree wether. She ADAPTED. maybe you should do some research on dogs and get to know a little more about them before you jump down my throat. My dog would kill her self if she lived inside andshe actually could possibly die from being over heated. Her body is used to the cold weather and wouldnt be able to take the heat so suddenly. If you dont wanna hear what i have to say then just dont say stupid things.
Like of course, I feel terrible for people who dont know how to care for outdoor dogs. But I shouldnt be a terrible person for owning outdoor dogs, they're perfectly fine, Sheltered, givin warmth and excersize.

"If you put them out there in the spring/summer, then by winter they will have grown a full thick coat just like any animal living outside"
So you’re saying if my danes were out all the time they would grow a coat thick enough to keep them warm in the winter. I think not! They would freeze to death! Some dogs may be able to, but not all. Plus most dogs would just be happier and warmer inside with their family, instead of lonely and cold outside.
do you have a guilty concious about something ? i said it once and i will say it again. i was refering to ALL animals in general. and i said freezing temperatures. i didnt point the finger at you or anyone. if you go bonkers over a simple statement like "i hope that no one keeps their pets out in freezing temperatures " then you need to put the cork back in that bottle you must be drinking from !
Well of course your wont llast. You've probably had them inside all their lives. And being outside just for 1 year would put them through helll ... You guys really need to google this. And stop arguing with me just because there are as$ holes out there that arent caring enough to take proper care for their dogs living out side
Dusty its not so much at you its these dumb mothas on here that are accusing people who own dogs outside are suddenly "bad owners that dont care about their dogs" I love my dogs to death and if there was a problem with them being outside then i would obviously take them in. But everyone is a little bit too inconsiderate to understand anything or take time and learn something new.
i agree that there are some breeds and some dogs that prefer to live outdoors. huskys and malamutes, just to name a couple. good owners provide proper shelter from the weather for these dogs. chaining a dog to a tree in freezing temps, is not considered proper care. i think these are the ones that people here refer to as bad dog owners.
Ok this is what im basically trying to get across.
*When people put their dogs outside, and dont have proper shelters/excersize/warmth/food/water for them. THEN YES. IM SURE THEY'RE GUNNA DIE.
*When people throw their dogs outta their house in the middle of december YES THEY'RE PROB. GUNNA DIE.
* But no, dogs can be OK out side. And will be fine and happy as long as you take extra effort into caring for them. My dogs are more then glad to sleep outside, my father built them special dog houses where when they walk in they have to go into a different section so the wind doesnt blow in and they have straw and blankets to cuddle in. They are fed every morning and are let out everymorning to run the acre we have of land until they get tired. Then at night, they're back to their pens. Im a very agrumentive person (obviously) And im just trying to prove a point.
