Well, we have made a final decision to keep one of our puppies. This is a girl that my husband 'saved'. She was the 9th puppy born and unresponsive after birth. He worked on her for about 5 minutes before she started breathing. This is the first puppy he has 'wanted' to keep in the last 10 years so.... I was waiting to see how she would turn out and I took pictures of every one and sent them to the stud owner. After deliberating on positives and negatives-- it is final she will stay with us.
Thanks everyone. I took detailed pictures of both Carmen and Helena, and sent them to the stud owner (before we made a final decision). She actually said both were very nice but she kind of liked Carmen better over-all. She isn't too hung up with markings-- which Helena's facial markings are more even.
I think she liked Carmen's muzzle slightly better. I like a more rounded muzzle and she prefers short but definately square. Helena also has a white haw, which I think also kind of detracted her a bit to the stud owner.
Both puppies are equal in temperment right now. It was a litter that I supplimented heavily, so they all think I am the milk lady :)
