We have 2 lovebirds and they only whistle. I don't know if they can talk. We had those lovebirds for about 2 1/2 years.

However we do have an African Grey, a Citron Cockatoo, a Conure and they can talk. (sometimes to much ;-)

Yes, they can actually talk, not many, and not very clear, but if you pay attention some actually talk.

Yes some can talk, although a very limited volcabulary and very birdish sounding. Budges can talk also, actually some have been marvelled at knowing over a thous words. I think thats rare though..but not impossible.If you keep two in a cage together though they will prefer to learn thier own language and bond more with thier cagemate than you.

I doubt that they can talk. But sometimes with a lot of persistence, you can teach them to whistle tunes (i.e. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star) Maybe even a wolf whistle :)

Its not like I need to add this, but any bird can talk, at least captive ones, not sure about Parrotlets, but I'm sure its out there. Some can talk very clear and speak what their owners have taught them and others only say their name. Even starlings can talk, so I'm sure any bird has the capability of doing so. Oh, I never heard a finch speak either, so don't get fresh ;).
