For the last couple of weeks Miles has been so mean to Chilly, everytime someone will go to pet Chilly Miles runs in front of him and growls at him, at food dishes Miles will keep running over to Chilly's dish and growling at him sometimes nipping at him. Same thing at night, when they go to get in bed Miles will go over where chilly is and growl and snarl at him till he moves. Im thinking this is a male dominance issue so my question is will this resolve its self after they are neutered on Feb. 20th? I feel so sorry for Chilly, Its almost like we have to sneak to pet him.
neutering may or may not help this behavior disappear. are you correcting miles at all and letting him know that you are not happy with this behavior ? while he is only doing this to chilly right now, it may eventually escalate to the level where he starts this behavior towards the humans in the family.
i would stop the behavior now, dont rely just on the neutering itself.
Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
