There are a certain group of people out there that are not only horse crazy but foal crazy as well. I like to try and catch the foal cams on various farm websites but also am expecting a foal of my own in late April and cant wait until the late watches. If anyone out there is already one of these crazy people like me or is interested give a reply and see what we come up with.
My mare is Parr Dun Me Doc a dun aka "Dunny" yea I know its real origional. Sire is Marked Another Spot a bay tob. son of Mark This Spot 7x World Champ. Hoping for a winner here.
I have seen some of those cams set up in the stables, never saw a foaling though. How lucky you are to get to experience it first hand soon with your own horse. I stopped visiting those sites because it started getting me down about losing my own horse. I get the bug every now and then to search the classifieds looking for another horse. I guess my time for another will come soon I hope. What breed are you riding in your pic? I wish we could make the picís bigger to see.
The horse in the picture is a quarter horse named Colt. I didnt own when he was born but we knew the guy that owned his dam and he was actually a twin (the horse that is). His twin sister did not make it and it is not uncommon for both of them to die. The guy I got him from and many others did not think he would very big as an adult when I bought him at 5 months old and the guy actually registered his name as Wind Dial Shorty. But with proper nutrition he sprouted up to 16 hands and is around 1500 lbs. He is a mountain of a horse. He is actually trained for western events but trained him for jumping and english on whim one year and I think that was his true calling. He is probably as perfect a horse as one could find and REALLY gentle and forgiving but knows when its time to go to work when an experienced rider gets aboard. I admit my mare isnt as easy to get along with but that is because she is a broodmare and they are typically like that. She is a good broodmare though, I think this sight would delete the sight if I put it on here so I will give directions on how to find it. I will try the putting it on here but the directions will follow if it doesnt. http://community.webshots.com/user/wind_dial01 this has pictures of Colt, Dunny, some past foals, some other horses I own and just some really fun pictues especially of Colt.
