Our next door neighbor is a cop, and recently just got a PITBULL, not a puppy, she seems older. So in New Jersey its about 26 degrees, and is really cold. Our neighbor has left this dog outside for a long time with frozen water, and no food. Our neighbors are constantly in and out, and pay no attention to this poor dog. We are concerned with making enemies with a cop next door to us. Please give us any advice and let us know soon. Thank You.
You can't sit back and do nothing; as the others have said, just call animal control anonymously. Make sure that you don't discuss your concerns with other neighbours of yours no matter how friendly they are. You just never know if an argument could arise in the future and they may just tell on you, the fewer people know the better but you cannot allow for this neglect to go on. You know it is happening and you cannot turn a blind eye, please do report this creep to animal control or whoever it is that handles these issues in your contry. Good luck.
I would call. I had at one time called about one of my nieghbors leaving their Bull Mastiff out all the time , my nieghbors where told who called. He's still allowed to roam and do what ever he wants , he's kept out in all sorts of weather. he's never allwed in doors . Me calling and other nieghbors ,it's done no good. I hope for this dog it does.Pitties don't do well being kept out in cold weather.
