I previously posted a rather long message explaining the symptoms of my puppy. The jerking i mentioned has not died down as much as i thought but it is nothing very strong. I am debating about calling my vet this late, and was wondering whether someone knew if these are symptoms of anything
Possible seizure. Make sure its glucose (sugar level ) is not too low. If you have any nutrical available give some now. If not pancake syrup will do. If it is not happening anymore, I'd say bring pup in first thing in the morning. If its still going on non stop bring pup into the vets. If its happening a vet can do a blood work up to see if they can see whats causing it now.
Whoever said you can't buy happiness, must have never owned a dog!!!!!!!!!!!
How is his vision right now? If the jerking is minor seizures, a sign of that could be poor vision (probably temporary for now) due to swelling of the ocular muscles that occurs in seizures. Also after a seizure it is common for one to be very disoriented, not seeming to recognize people, walking to corners of the room and just standing there, etc. If he is disoriented, that could explain the growling.
Update us when you can. Hope all is well.
