"As with pregnant females, dry food can be moistened with warm water to encourage food intake. Milk may also be used to moisten dry food, however, too much milk can act as a laxative and cause digestive problems for some puppies and adult dogs. One hour should be allowed for a puppy to eat, after which the uneaten portion should be discarded. Moistened dry food or canned food left at room temperature can become unpalatable and may even spoil if left out for several hours."
If you must give your dog milk then give them specially formulated dog milk. You can find it at a pet store, or you can find it at Wal-Mart.
Just mix it in water
Other wise if you give them regular cow’s milk it will give any dog diarrhea. Because most dogs are lactose and tolerant

Cats can't drink milk either. A lot of people think they can because it's so stereotypical to see cat's drinking milk in cartoons and such. Cats and dogs are both lactose intolerant so too much milk will give them an upset tummy just like people who can't drink milk. A little bit of milk won't hurt them but a lot will make them sick. They do make lactose free milk that you can buy at the grocery store and at pet stores that are especially for cats and dogs...you give it as a treat.
you need to be carful how much you give them. a little milk every once in a while wont do much to them, but if you constantly give it to them in large quantities it could mess up their degestion and make them have horible diarea.
