I have a friend that is getting her Uncle's Dobbie, the uncle decided after a year he didn't like the dog and keeps it crated or outside. NO life for a Dobbie so my friend is taking it. Well she already has one Dobbie, a husky and a mini dachsund or however you spell it, and if it doesn't work with her current dogs I told her I would try with mine.
Well I have a beagle who is grumpy even towards my lab mix who has been here since she was 11 weeks old and my beagle was 1 or 2 at the time. I really want to be able to make it work and my beagle to accept the new dog, does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? My beagle sometimes isn't the most accepting of dogs bigger then him, I think the only reason he tolerates my lab mix, Pie is b/c she came in smaller then he, then grew bigger then him, but he is still dominate to her.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Trouble is only temporary, but the lesson it teaches you lasts a life time.
Rocky (boston) Does not like dogs bigger then he is eather, thats one reason we picked a pug pup.
Maby take a few weeks to introduce the dobie into your house. start with taknig you bealge to see the dobie then take them to the park together.let them get to know eachother. Then start bringing the dobie home here and there.
thats my only idea and I dont know if that will work.
I'm gonna trade this life for fortune and fame I'd even cut my hair and change my name
