Daisy has always had real raspy breathing- kinda like a person with asma(sp) its not even snoring its a real raspy breathing and its scary. I did bring this up to the vet and he told me that his dog also snores ( which didnt say snores i told him makes werid breathing sounds when she sleeps) and he told me his dog makes all sorts of noises and thats why the his dog sleeps on the other end of his house so he can sleep. But i didnt tell him snoring tho . And its when she sleeps or is resting that you can really hear how rapsy this is- all the time not just here and there. Could it be asma? what are other signs? hers really is just the breathing. and like now she took a deep breath and it sounds like when a child is conjested in thier chest. Is this normal? i dont think it is. Bentley doesnt breath like this of coarse diffenrt mixes of dogs but it really bothers me. and for the vet i guess not to understand what i was saying or care really and didnt even check into it kinda makes me upset. He does listen to her lungs im sure is what they listen to and everything is always normal- if it was asma would they beable to tell when they listen to her chest?? I am a smoker but i dont smoke around them in a closed area. We dont smoke in our house and never have- so they arent around smoke but do smoke out side when i take them out- Is there a test for asma? i dont think a chest cold because it has been months but seems to get raspier the older. How do i go about and ask my vet to really check into this instead of blowing it off? If im concerned about it to me it seems he would be alittle concerned and at least check it out- and its loud rapsy not a soft raspy but not snoring either- and again only when she sleeps- as far as i can tell- when i hold her and play with her whne she is awake i dont hear it- should i be concerned or could this just be normal for her since the vet doesnt think its a problem?
