Welcome abord to Terrific Pets. Good luck in your recovery. I had to quit riding, due to being hit by a drunk driver. I kept my horses for 17 years after that, but due to the severity of the injuries that I suffered, I was never able to ride again.
I miss my horses so much, but life goes on. My youngest horse went on to become the Midwest Endurance Horse of the year, after I sold her. You have to love those Arabs and their endurance abilities.
Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color.
Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense. Choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.
I havent actually introduced my self here but now is a better time than never. I currently have 4 horses, kind of 5 one of them lives with my mom, he is the one in the picture. The 4 I have at my place are all quarter horses 2 duns and 2 bays I do have a mare bred occasinally with an emphasis on cow and working horse bloodlines. I have been riding before I can remember and have always had horses while growing up and on my own. I have had the privledge to ride and show a variety of breeds and disciplines. I love my dogs but I grew up on the back of a horse and was literally horse crazy and even went to college at NorthEast Oklahoma to study everything I could but have actually found real life experience to beat that out anyday. I learned to train from professionals and also use a lot of techniques from Clinton Anderson, John Lyons, Pat Parelli (been to one of his clinics and it was inspiring) I like all of them and certain horses respond differently to each ones techniques. But I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience but am always open to hear peoples unique situations and to find a way even if its innovative to figure it out. Oh and by the way the 5 horse on my property is currently in the oven and is due to come out and play on April 25.
