So now it seems that Kiba is afraid when the bunny thumps his leg in his cage. She's been doing this for the past hour now. Shaking, and progressing to panting. She is also trying to hide but not wanting to leave us humans.
Is there something I can give her? Do those comfort zones help? Or would maybe medication? She is also likes this (but a heck of alot less) when the stove is on.
I would not go straight to medication. Try to build up her confidence by taking her to obedience classes, therefore when she is scared, you can practice what she is learning to distract her. Never comfort her in a situation where she is afraid like that. That will make to problem a lot worse because she will feel that she is justified in her fear.

Remember I was telling you how Mandy acts. I wonder if this is a schnayzer thing? Well, she is afraid of everything that beeps, buzzes, you name it. I bought a new coffee maker and of course, when it finishes making coffee it beeps five times. I have just started to ignore her and go on like nothing is happening and low and behold she is actually ignoring the beeps. FINALLY. Maybe it would work to just ignore Kiba. We have tried everything else.
It always amazes me how dogs can get all wierd over things they are around every day. I know its not the same, but my Molly(nearly 2) forgets each winter about our heat ducts. Then when it gets cold enough to turn the heat on she spends the whole winter skirting around them when they are blowing, and when they're not, she goes and stands over one and just looks down into it ,like shes looking for an explanation or whatever is in there puffing at her. Nutty dog:) I really hope you find out what the problem is.
