I’m new around here. I have a dog named samir! He is a black labrador. I think his fur isn´t as soft as it should be ( you can see him here: http://www.vivapets.com/petsite.php?id=1044 ) so do you any tips that i can use? Thanks in advance ;P
Hi Samir, it sounds like he just might be lacking fatty acids. Do you use a good dog food? It really seems to make a difference. At the pet store they have fatty acids you can add to dog food. Helps a lot with luster and shedding. Good luck :)
You might want to give salmon oil a try. It's chockfull of O3s and can lend a hand in keeping a dog's coat beautiful.
Also, bathing a dog (especially a lab) too frequently can cause a dried-out coat. IMO, if you're bathing your lab once a week, that's way too much. Even once a month is too much. I wouldn't bathe a lab more than four times a year.
