I feel so bad for people who really can't take winter for what it is and enjoy it. Today I went snow mobiling up in our mini Tug Hill. Grant it it's cold and dreary , but i'm taking winter for it is and enjoying what it has to offer. My hubby taught me this , and each season has something great to offer.I had a blast and feel great.
See after you shovel ,then go out and do some winter sports to enjoy the snow. It must be amazing to see those snow banks. It must be picturesq. I would love to get snow like that around here. Then when it starts to melt you appreciate the spring , summer and fall.
Well, the storm is over!! Total Snow: 36-39 inches with drifts that well exceed that.
Shoveling: I stopped counting after 10, thank God for my neighbor who snowblew my driveway this morning...I was not looking forward to the end of the driveway where the snow plow had gone by there were drifts taller than my head!
Watching the dogs wrestle, jump into a snowbank and disappear: PRICELESS! They can't seem to judge the depth of the snow, so they jump in, disappear for a few seconds and pop back out into another pile! It is the best exercise ever! My favorite is to jump into a huge snowbank myself and then the dogs jump in and wrestle, jump all over me, and lick me to pieces! Ahh, it makes all that darn shoveling worth it (sort of LOL) :)
He's your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You're his life, his love, his leader. He will be faithful and true to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion
I dont enjoy winter one bit- never have been a out side person in the winter. We just sold our snow mobiles end of last winter- didnt like riding and hubby said its no fun riding by yourself so he sold our sleds- He said he doenst want to be out in the snow when he works in the crap 6 days out of the week ( he builds custom homes) plus hes from california and still his blood is thin..lol hes been here 10 years but still winter is hard on him and hes only 35- Ive been here my whole life and have always hated winter, my kids are into snow boarding and ice skating but im not- We are summer ppl- we are out on our boat every chance we get- my mother in law lives on the water so we dock our boat there for the summer and just drive to her house some times for the weekend and hang out on the boat. And im scared to drive in the snow after a bad accident i was in years ago and havnet drove in the winter in many years, and im only 32 but i will drive if the roads are clear and no snow!=- so really winter sucks for us - i always gain weight from sitting home and im laid dec 15- april 1st every year which i enjoy greatly but its just a boring winter- I do enjoy having these days to spend with the dogs and kids tho- I dont look forward going back to work at all in april. Im giong to look into a puppy day care. I cant leave them home alone i worry all day when im not home, (days that my kids arnet home with them) cant wait till spring i do think that is my favorite season tho- watching the snow melt and flowers and trees budding and we do alot of yard work and work on flower gardens ect- i cant wiat for daisy to enjoy this spring/summer it will be her first.
I live in Canada. There's been snow on the ground since the beginning of October, and there's still snow now and it doesn't look like it's going to leave any time soon. I really don't like snow :( Oh well.
Dogs are not our whole lives, but they make our lives whole.
